EYELINER TATTOO BEFORE CARE

Permanent makeup procedures may require multiple treatment sessions. For best results, clients will be required to return for a re-touch appointment 6-8 weeks after the initial procedure. Please be aware that color intensity will be significantly darker and sharper immediately and a few days after the initial procedure, but the color will reduce by 20-30%. All results vary.

Although numbing cream is used during the procedure, sensitivity or discomfort may still be felt. Skin may be red and/or swollen after the procedure

Topical Anesthetic Advice

  • Allergic reaction can occur from any anesthetics used during the procedure. If you do suffer from an allergic reaction, you should contact your doctor immediately. Allergic reaction response may show through redness, swelling, rash, blistering, dryness or any other symptoms associated with an allergic reaction.

  • Numbness – We cannot accept responsibility if the area to be treated does not respond to the numbing cream. Each individual is different according to skin type. Some clients report the area to be completely numb, while others may experience some discomfort.

  • Procedure – For the procedure, a numbing cream/gel is used. The products are formulated to be perfectly safe and can be purchased over the counter from any pharmacy/chemist. The anesthetic is placed over the treatment area after initial outline. As a result of the treatment, combined with the use of the anesthetic, you can expect to experience some redness/swelling that can last 1-4 days. You should always follow your post-procedure advice and aftercare for the best results.

EYELINER TATTOO aFTERCARE

Please follow these instructions for 10-14 days after the procedure to improve and prolong the results of Eyeliner Tattoo. If you don’t follow these instructions, it can greatly affect your results!

A liquid barrier has been applied that will stay on and protect your brows. Avoid getting anything on the eyes, except for cleansing as directed. You may blot for the first 30 minutes with sterile gauze to remove any excess fluids, if necessary.

Cleansing: When washing, it should be very gentle and with hardly any water and with a tapping motion, no rubbing. Please avoid saturating eyes with water. You may very sparingly apply ointment to moisturize your eye area for dryness relief. Do not pick or rub. The flakes must fall off on their own or you will risk removing the color and possibly scarring.

  • Do not soak the treated area in the bath, pool or hot tub. For 30 days, refrain from swimming in salt water or chlorinated pools, saunas, hot yoga, steam rooms or sun beds.

  • No exercise for 14 days. After 14 days – when exercising, wear a sweatband to avoid sweat on eye area.

  • Do not expose treated area to direct sunlight. Wear sunglasses or a hat to block the sun.

  • No makeup should be applied directly on the eyes during the healing process.

  • Do not touch, rub, pick or scratch your eyes following treatment or during healing process.

  • You may find that your eyes will scab or become slightly dry following the treatment. If they itch, DO NOT SCRATCH them. You may apply the ointment to alleviate the itch.

  • If your eyes get wet during the healing process, pat them dry with a towel, DO NOT RUB.

  • Avoid using daily skincare products directly on the eyes.

  • If you are planning a chemical peel, or any other medical procedure, please inform artist of the procedure you have had. Procedure should only be done once the healing process is complete.

  • Please take a break from all lash growth solutions as Latisse near and around your eyes area at least 2 weeks prior to your session and 2 weeks after for best healed results.

  • If you are due to give blood after the procedure, please inform your nurse about the treatment you have had as this might alter the results.

  • Any treatments such as lasers, peels, tinting, perming, etc should also take place 2 weeks prior or after eyeliner is fully healed.

  • Don't get lash extensions or put fake lashes until your eyeliner is fully healed (10-14 days).

WHAT TO EXPECT:

Remember that the healing is a process. PLEAST BE PATIENT. Your eyes will change and appear different day by day as it goes through this process. THIS IS NORMAL.

Some puffiness is normal for right after and the following couple of days. Unless one has extremely sensitive eyes and they experience more than the usual puffiness or redness, it shouldn't affect normal day-to-day activities.

Repeat the same exact aftercare post second session.

The application of permanent cosmetics can be a 2 to 3 step process. Do not judge your procedure while in the healing stage. It may require a touch up or multiple touch-ups as everyone heals differently. The procedure area must heal completely before we can address any concerns. Healing takes about 4 weeks.
